June Update

A lot of brick work and steel has gone up over the past couple of weeks, and the basement level overall, as well as the footings for the first level have been worked on.


The biggest challenge has been getting the power connected. It shouldn't take this long, but it has been almost a month and it is still not connected - I need to call the electrical company to find out what's going on

The brick workers worked over the weekend and the footings look just about finished- they will start forming up the suspended slab for the garage, as well as boxing up the slab for the porch/entryway & doing some drainage work in preparation of the slab going poured.

The retaining wall blocks get delivered on thursday or friday

i went to a company today to get a mortar mix matched to the color of the retaining wall blocks - this also gets delivered on friday.

The brick layers are booked for Monday to start doing the retaining wall.

The concrete company needs to core fill the retaining wall near the swimming pool.

If all goes well, later next week they will book the suspended slab for the garage, and also notify the swimming pool construction company that they can start construction on the swimming pool.

I'll post some photo updates before I head back to Seattle in two weeks.
